GONG YOGA RELEASES STRESS, TENSION AND BLOCKAGES. AS IT RELIEVES ACHES AND PAINS, ANXIETY IS REDUCED, BRINGING ABOUT A STATE OF DEEP RELAXATION. INNER PEACE, PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION AND CONNECTEDNESS CAN ALL BE FELT. AS ONE IS BATHED IN SOUND, GONG HARMONICS VIBRATE THE CHAKRAS AND MERIDIANS, BRINGING THEM INTO BALANCE.

 Here are some words from Grand Gongmaster Don Conreaux: "The sound of the gong is the channel of Pure Truth, and whenever Truth is experienced, healing occurs. When the gong is played, the sound vibrations immediately quiets the mind, allowing healing to occur. The gong's resonance is the very music of the spheres; the heavenly bodies of the universe. Each planet, moon and star is a gong emanating the divine sound of AUM in its variety of vibrational patterns."

 Gongs were discovered around 3500 BCE in Mesopotamia and Persia, during the Bronze Age there, a result of the first metallic alloy created by the scientific discovery of synthesis. The cause of discovery was copper and tin melting together from the rocks which comprised great bread ovens at the height of the preceding Agricultural Age. It is said that ancient sacred gongs included pieces of meteorites that fell from the heavens. Today gongs are made from a bronze alloy:- 88% copper and 12% nickel.

 The Mandarin Chinese words "Tai Loi" (on the symphonic gong) mean "Good Has Come". When Confucius wrote: "When the bad has gone, good has come," Gautama Buddha instructed each gong and bell to be inscribed with the two characters. As gong consciousness returns to the world, it heralds the imminent return of the coming of Buddha in the hearts of humanity, under the name of Maitreya, which means: "Loving Kindness and Musical Resonance."

 Complex harmonics and tone resonance are released by the gong, initiating:  

• De-materialisation

• Levitation

• Timelessness

• Rejuvenation

• Bliss

 The gongs of our solar system vibrate the meridians, chakras and organs of the body, bringing them into balance; kundalini energy is released. Psychological, physiological and spiritual conditions are treated.

 Each gong is tuned to the natural frequency of that planet (see table below),resonating in harmony with the celestial bodies and providing an aspect of the Music of the Spheres, as written by Pythagoras in the 6th Century BCE
 

                           Yogi Bhajan says: "The gong is the first and last instrument for the human mind; there is only one thing that can supersede and command the human mind, the sound of the gong. It is the first sound in the Universe, the sound that created this Universe. It's the basic creative sound. To the mind, the sound of the gong is like a mother and father that gave it birth. The mind has no power to resist a gong that is well played."

 Some final words from Don Conreaux: "The Gong Bath will immerse you in sound as you are guided to a deeper level within. The gong sounds and vibrations stimulate a meditative and contemplative state in which we have the opportunity to safely surrender control of the mind. Negativity and chaos are suspended, irregularity and resistance are cleared, and the mind, body, and soul are reset to a state of synchrony and alignment, allowing us to connect with our Authentic Holistic Self."

 "When the gong is played correctly we are in a state of non-locality, as if there is no player. Our subconscious mind takes over, and our conscious mind becomes selfless, our personal identity becomes trans-personal. This is a state we refer to as "the soul abode of the neutral self" abiding in Satya Nirvana or Truth Love."
